A business-to-business media environment covering niche trade industries is seeking a driven and commercially aware journalist to join its editorial team covering the travel and tourism sector . The role focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and operationally relevant reporting for travel industry professionals. Editorial staff are expected to develop strong subject-matter expertise in their respective industries, demonstrate strong news judgement, maintain global awareness, and produce compelling lead stories. Key Responsibilities Produce daily trade-focused news articles. Conduct interviews with industry operators and tourism boards. Analyse policy and regulatory developments affecting the travel sector. Attend industry events and press briefings. Deliver written work within agreed deadlines. Requirements Demonstrated journalism experience with published work. Strong writing, research, and analytical skills. Strong news judgement and awareness of industry developments. Deadline-driven and well organised. Professional confidence when conducting interviews and engaging with industry stakeholders. Valid drivers licence and own vehicle. Additional Requirements Candidates must be based in Johannesburg . Candidates should be able to travel to events and industry engagements when required
