IT Systems Engineer

Our client is looking for a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer in Fourways to design, deploy, and maintain secure, high-performance infrastructure supporting digital gaming platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure system reliability, streamline deployments, and enhance security through automation and innovation. This role suits a proactive engineer passionate about optimizing systems and staying ahead of evolving technology trends. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage scalable, high-availability infrastructure for gaming platforms. Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply system optimizations. Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment efficiency. Implement strong security measures and conduct vulnerability assessments. Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and audits. Skills: Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers. Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform). Knowledge of system integrations and backend logic (Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Java). Excellent problem-solving and collaboration abilities. Qualifications: Matric (NQF 4) and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field , or equivalent experience. Knowledge of Gaming Compliance with SANS Standards (Parts 13) is advantageous. Proven experience in systems engineering, automation, and cybersecurity best practices.
