Software Product Manager

For our client, We are hiring for a Software Product Manager (SPM) to take ownership of the Baseline Software Structure (BSS) and Software Products (SP) within the EU market. The role is responsible for defining, governing, and maintaining the integrity of software structures across vehicle platforms, ensuring they meet market, technical, and diagnostic requirements. As Software Product Manager, you will act as the product owner of the software structure domain , ensuring that software configurations are correctly defined, documented, and ready for deployment across the organization. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, ECU owners, testing stakeholders, and software delivery functions to secure a structured and reliable software release process. The role requires strong coordination across multiple stakeholders to ensure that software releases are well-defined, aligned with platform architecture, and supported by high-quality release documentation . In a rapidly evolving vehicle software environment, the Software Product Manager must proactively manage risks, maintain alignment with global development teams, and continuously improve workflows and governance around software product structures. Key Responsibilities Software Product Ownership Own and manage the Baseline Software Structure and Software Products for the EU market. Ensure software configurations are correctly defined, maintained, and aligned with platform and market requirements. Maintain governance and integrity of the software product structure across releases. Software Release Governance Ensure readiness and correctness of all software structures before release. Maintain and oversee release notes and documentation for software deliveries. Secure alignment between software structure, diagnostic requirements, and vehicle platform architecture. Stakeholder Coordination Act as the central coordination point between ECU owners, engineering teams, testing teams, and software delivery functions . Facilitate software release forums and cross-functional alignment meetings . Gather input from stakeholders and ensure smooth coordination for upcoming software releases. Risk & Process Management Identify risks related to software structure, release planning, and configuration early. Escalate issues that may impact CRB releases or software deployment timelines . Drive continuous improvements in software structure workflows, governance, and documentation practices . Mandatory Requirements 5+ years of experience working with Teamcenter PLM , specifically related to software structures or configuration management. 3+ years of experience working with aftermarket software download tools or systems . Experience working with software release documentation and release notes (5+ years) . Project management training or experience managing cross-functional software delivery processes. Technical & Domain Knowledge Strong understanding of software configuration management within automotive environments . Experience working with vehicle software structures, ECUs, and release processes . Understanding of automotive aftersales, diagnostics, and workshop processes is considered a strong advantage. Competencies: Structured and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to drive alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders. Proactive problem solver capable of identifying gaps and initiating improvements. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Fluent in English (spoken and written) . Cultural awareness and experience collaborating across European and Chinese organizations is considered a plus.
