Senior Security Consultant – Microsoft Defender & Purview (Hybrid, CABA) 📍 Buenos Aires, Argentina – Hybrid 🏢 Project for Avanade | Tech Transformation 🕘 Full-time | 9:00 – 18:00 About the Role We are looking for a Senior Security Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview to join a large-scale technology transformation initiative. In this role, you will design, implement, and operate advanced security solutions focused on threat detection, data protection, compliance, and information governance within the Microsoft security ecosystem. You will also provide technical leadership to small security teams while helping improve cybersecurity operations through automation and best practices. Key Responsibilities Design and implement security solutions using Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview . Monitor and respond to security incidents across Microsoft security platforms. Support threat detection, investigation, and incident response activities . Implement data protection, compliance, and information governance policies . Lead and mentor small technical teams (2–5 engineers). Develop and automate operational security processes using PowerShell . Contribute to the continuous improvement of cybersecurity operations. Ensure alignment with security frameworks and risk management standards. Required Experience 4–6 years of experience in cybersecurity roles. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender security solutions . Strong experience with Microsoft Purview (compliance, data governance) . Experience working in security operations environments . Experience leading small technical teams. Knowledge of: Threat Modeling Incident Response Security automation Risk management and compliance frameworks Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. English level: Intermediate to Advanced (required) . Nice to Have Experience automating security processes with PowerShell . Experience in enterprise Microsoft security environments. Knowledge of Microsoft security architecture and governance models. Work Model Hybrid model: 1 day per week onsite . Location: Parque Patricios, Buenos Aires .
