SCIENCE LABORATORY ASSISTANT CUM RECEPTION OFFICER

Description ADDITIONAL NOTES : Contract Period : 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2027 (12 Months) Working Hours : Mondays to Friday 7:00AM to 4.00PM inclusive of lunch break 45 mintues NEAREST MRT: Tan Kah Kee MRT Station (DT8) Responsibilities Prepare equipment and teaching materials for Science experiments for Primary 3–6 students. Replenish consumable items such as limewater, iodine, paper towels, and hand soap. Maintain cleanliness and organization of Science labs, preparation rooms, and equipment. Care for the Science garden, including basic planting, watering, and clearing stagnant water. Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and all items are properly labeled. Prepare teaching resources and equipment for weekly CCA and E2K sessions. Other Duties Ensure lab equipment (e.g., microscopes and data loggers) is properly maintained and in good working condition. Assist the Head of Department and Subject Head in liaising with vendors. Support Science activities (e.g., Science Week) and handle administrative tasks such as inventory updates. Assist teachers during laboratory activities. Provide reception support and attend to parents, students, staff, and visitors professionally. Attend to unwell or injured students, provide basic first aid, and escalate cases according to school procedures. Requirements Valid First Aid certification (Standard or Child First Aid) preferred. Minimum GCE O Level qualification or equivalent. Proficient in English with basic knowledge of Science. Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel. Good interpersonal and communication skills. At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Science Laboratory Assistant in a primary school preferred. Resourceful in preparing teaching aids using available materials to support laboratory learning and reduce costs. Comfortable working with children aged 7–12 in a school environment.
