Internal Communications Manager, Senior

Job Description: The Internal Communications department at BILL is relatively new and as a small and mighty team, has been building the foundation for what amazing employee communications means at BILL leveraging industry best practices. We are looking for a stellar Senior Manager, Internal Communications who thrives on delivering strategic, company-wide messaging in support of our companys priorities. This person should be excited by the opportunity to influence and impact company performance and culture through creative storytelling and dot-connecting. They should also be comfortable being employee champions, providing counsel to senior leaders within the company, driving change management and being able to connect the day-to-day to our business needs. They should also be innovative and passionate about being a communicator in the age of AI while leveraging technology to meet our BILLders where they are. What youll do as a contractor : Offer strategic guidance to our leaders and cross-functional partners ensuring alignment with our overarching goals. Core partners will be our Software, Payments and Financial Services and Engineering teams. Be the teams go-to for all things product communications for our employees. Craft compelling communications that empower our leaders to convey key messages effectively, ensuring they reach the intended audiences at the optimal moments. Work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout BILL, leveraging influence to foster strong partnerships and drive alignment. Champion communication practices that foster an inclusive and supportive environment for our hybrid workforce. Wed love to chat if you have : 8-10 years of corporate communications experience, employee communications experience preferred Knowledge of communicating about financial technology or product launches and announcements so that everyone understands the features were launching for our customers Experience navigating an organization that is fast-moving and growing Change management prowess The ability to see the big picture even when working in the details Experience coaching and influencing leaders and teams on the best ways to communicate information to employees Eagle-eyed attention to detail, speedy execution and excellent writing skills Experience with slide design and message/narrative crafting. Additional information: Only local candidates are eligible to apply for this role. The role is part-time at 15 hours per week, with the potential to convert to a full-time position. If converted to FTE, the schedule would increase to 40 hours per week. MUST HAVE: 8–10 years of corporate communications experience Employee/internal communications experience Experience communicating financial technology initiatives, product launches, and feature announcements Experience supporting company-wide strategic messaging Change management experience Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams Experience coaching and influencing leaders on employee communications Experience in fast-paced, high-growth organizations Experience with executive messaging, slide design, and narrative development.
