Payroll & Benefits Accountant – North America | Hybrid Role

Our client is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to support payroll and benefits accounting activities for the North America market. This role reports to the North America Accounting Manager and plays a key role in accurate payroll-related financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls. No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance Work Model: Hybrid ( 1–2 days onsite) Contract Duration: 12 months Requirements: Partner with the Payroll team as needed. Support internal and external audit requests. Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices. Generate ad hoc analyses and reports as needed. Review and analyze monthly payroll variance reports. Maintain internal controls and perform controls testing per corporate policy. Investigate variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls. Prepare month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits, deferred compensation, and employee programs. Qualifications/Must-Haves: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Experience supporting multi-entity payroll environments is a plus. Strong understanding of general accounting and journal entry preparation. Experience with SAP, Blackline, and MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas) Familiarity with ADP GlobalView payroll exports (no payroll processing required)
