Computational Scientist

The Computational Scientist applies advanced computational, mathematical, and data modeling techniques to solve complex scientific, engineering, or business problems. This role develops simulations, algorithms, and analytical models to support research, product development, and data-driven decision-making. The Computational Scientist works closely with interdisciplinary teams to design experiments, analyze results, and contribute to scientific publications or product innovations. This is a fully remote position; however, applicants must currently reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered. Key Responsibilities Develop computational models, simulations, and algorithms to support research and development projects Analyze complex datasets using statistical, mathematical, or machine learning methods Collaborate with cross-functional teams of scientists, engineers, and data analysts Design and conduct computational experiments to test hypotheses and validate models Document methods, results, and computational workflows for reproducibility Present findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders Contribute to scientific publications, patents, or technical reports as needed Stay updated with emerging computational techniques, software tools, and scientific literature Ensure adherence to scientific standards, data integrity, and reproducibility Required Qualifications PhD or Masters degree in Computational Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field 3–6 years of experience in computational modeling, simulation, or scientific computing Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, R, MATLAB, or similar Experience with high-performance computing (HPC), cloud computing, or parallel computing frameworks Solid understanding of numerical methods, algorithms, and data analysis techniques Strong analytical, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working independently in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with machine learning, AI, or statistical modeling in scientific applications Familiarity with scientific visualization tools and techniques Experience in simulation of physical, chemical, or biological systems Knowledge of computational frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar Prior experience in publishing peer-reviewed scientific papers Compensation Annual Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000 USD , depending on experience, education, and domain expertise Benefits Eligible employees may receive the following benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching Paid time off (PTO) including vacation, holidays, and sick leave Life insurance and disability coverage Flexible remote work environment Professional development and research support Employee wellness and assistance programs Potential performance-based bonuses Work Authorization Requirement Applicants must meet the following requirements: Must currently reside in the United States Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Applications from individuals residing outside the U.S. will not be considered
