Hybrid | Project Manager III (California) — Up to $85/hr

We are sharing a specialised full-time opportunity for experienced Project Managers with strong backgrounds in retail operations, technology implementation, and cross-functional program delivery. This role supports the Retail Operations + Technology team of a major technology platform focused on building innovative in-store retail experiences. The Project Manager will oversee complex initiatives that support the development and operation of next-generation retail stores, working across teams responsible for retail systems, store technology, and operational processes. Key Responsibilities Manage cross-functional initiatives from project initiation through delivery Translate complex technical concepts into clear action plans for operational teams Break down complex initiatives into structured project plans and execution steps Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Retail Operations, Product Marketing, Enterprise Systems, Retail Design, Finance, and Product teams Drive the implementation and development of retail systems such as POS, ERP, CRM, AV, and in-store demo technologies Monitor project timelines, identify risks, and maintain clear paths to execution Present project progress, risks, and milestones to leadership Ensure seamless coordination between technical and non-technical stakeholders Thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining operational clarity and delivery focus Ideal Profile Strong candidates may have: Bachelors degree 5+ years of experience in project or program management Experience in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) retail, consumer electronics, technology, or premium hospitality environments Strong proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Asana, MS Project, Wrike, or similar tools Experience implementing retail systems including POS, ERP, CRM, AV, or demo technologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities Ability to operate effectively in high-velocity, ambiguous environments Preferred qualifications: MBA or other advanced degree PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and operational efficiency Why This Opportunity Work on the launch and operations of innovative retail technology environments Partner with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and retail operations Drive impactful initiatives shaping in-person retail experiences for a major global technology platform Competitive compensation and enterprise-level project ownership Contract Details Full-time position Hybrid role ( 3 days per week on-site ) Locations: Burlingame CA, Menlo Park CA, Los Angeles CA, or New York NY Competitive hourly compensation ( $60–$85/hr ) Long-term role supporting enterprise retail technology initiatives About the Platform This opportunity is available through a leading AI-driven work platform.
