QA/QC Manager - Industrial Construction (AMBERES)

Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control system for a multidisciplinary industrial construction project (piping, mechanical and electrical & instrumentation), ensuring full compliance with contractual specifications, international codes and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Define, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP). Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes and standards (ASME B31.3, IEC, ISO, etc.). Interface with Client, Contractor and Third-Party Inspectors for all quality matters. Manage the QA/QC team (inspectors, document controllers, welding inspectors, E&I inspectors). Supervise the inspection and test plans (ITP) implementation across disciplines. Control and follow-up of: Welding procedures (WPS/PQR) Welder qualifications NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) Material traceability Pressure testing E&I testing and commissioning activities Manage NCRs, punch lists, corrective and preventive actions. Monitor and analyse weld rejection rates (WRR) and quality KPIs. Ensure proper quality documentation turnover and dossier compilation. Coordinate with construction and planning teams to ensure quality activities do not delay construction progress. Required Qualifications Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification. Minimum 10–15 years experience in industrial construction projects. Proven experience as QA/QC Manager in EPC or construction projects in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Chemical plants. High English level (both speaking and writing) Strong knowledge of: ASME B31.3 Welding processes and NDT Electrical & Instrumentation QA/QC Certification preferred: CSWIP / IWE / CWI ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (desirable) Key Competencies Strong leadership and team coordination. Ability to manage large inspection workloads and subcontractor interfaces. High level of documentation control and compliance mindset. Experience dealing with client audits and quality escalations.
