Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate with leadership, accountants, and clients to deliver high-quality accounting services. The position combines hands-on accounting work, client advisory support, and review responsibilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Qualifications Required: 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or a similar environment Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online Strong understanding of account reconciliations and financial reporting Experience reviewing accounting work and maintaining quality standards Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Teams Experience with QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online migrations Experience with payroll accounting Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Management Maintain and manage client books in QuickBooks Online Review QuickBooks files for accurate coding, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transaction completeness Perform accounting clean-ups and catch-up work for clients with incomplete records Classify transactions and complete monthly reconciliations for bank, credit card, and liability accounts Tie out payroll liabilities and payroll-related expenses Perform QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online conversions when required Financial Reporting Prepare monthly financial statement packages including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports Deliver financial reports to clients and explain key results Conduct regular client check-in meetings to review financial performance and answer questions Complete year-end workpapers and prepare adjusting journal entries Team Support & Review Review work prepared by accountants and bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and consistency Provide feedback and guidance to team members Troubleshoot QuickBooks issues for clients and internal staff Client Communication & Project Management Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding documentation and financial matters Maintain timely responses to client communications Manage tasks, deadlines, and workflows using firm systems and tools Work Environment & Benefits: Salary range $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience Flexible schedule and results-oriented culture Medical, dental, and vision benefits Retirement matching Paid time off and holidays Paid training and continuing professional education Professional development support for CPA or EA credentials Team events and collaborative work environment
