2nd Shift Production Line Lead (Food Manufacturing)

A growing food manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids is currently seeking an experienced Production Line Lead for 2nd shift. This role is ideal for someone with experience working in a fast paced production environment who can lead and support a production team while maintaining strong attendance and reliability. Responsibilities Lead and support production team members on the line Operate and monitor bagging or wrapping machines Work with cereal film or similar packaging materials Ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently Support supervisors with line organization and team communication Maintain quality, safety, and production standards Qualifications Prior experience in food production or manufacturing environments within the food industry strongly preferred Strong understanding of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, GMP standards, and food safety practices Experience running bag machines, wrappers, or similar packaging equipment preferred Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment is a plus Experience with sanitation procedures in a food processing plant environment Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for quality control and inventory purposes Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely is desirable Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation Strong attendance and reliability Ability to work in a fast paced production environment This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a stable manufacturing environment and take on leadership responsibilities while producing high quality food products in a safe and clean environment.
