Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Outpatient Winchester, Kansas Facility: F.W. Huston Medical Center Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,423.16 Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Setting: Primarily Outpatient Therapy Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week outpatient assignment at F.W. Huston Medical Center in Winchester, KS. The Physical Therapist will provide rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting, helping patients improve mobility, strength, and overall functional independence following injury, surgery, or chronic medical conditions. This opportunity is ideal for therapists who enjoy working in a community hospital environment with a manageable patient load and collaborative clinical team. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and reassessments Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals Implement therapeutic exercise programs and mobility training Provide post-operative rehabilitation and orthopedic therapy Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and recovery strategies Maintain accurate documentation in the facilitys EMR system Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care Patient Population & Conditions The therapist may treat patients with a variety of conditions including: Orthopedic injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation Low back pain and cervicalgia Spinal conditions and spinal cord injuries Total hip and knee replacements Neurological conditions such as Parkinsons disease and multiple sclerosis Traumatic brain injuries and stroke rehabilitation Muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders Workload Expectations Approximately 5 patient visits per day Typical daily census is low, allowing for focused patient care Travelers may occasionally float to other units if needed Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience Active Kansas Physical Therapist License (or compact license) BLS Certification Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of Physical Therapy experience preferred Experience in outpatient or rehabilitation settings Compliance Requirements COVID Vaccine Required (Medical or Religious Exemptions Allowed) Submission Requirements Social Security Number (SSN) Date of Birth (DOB) Requested Time Off (RTO) at submission Minimum 1 professional reference Additional Assignment Details Locals accepted at the same rate No local radius restriction No specific charting system experience required Certification copies not required at time of submission Facility is generally flexible regarding background policies
