Job Summary The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of company-owned buildings and facilities. The role involves troubleshooting facility issues, performing or assisting with repairs, coordinating with contractors when specialized work is required, and ensuring that maintenance activities are completed efficiently. This is a hands-on technical role that supports the Property Manager in keeping the company's facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repairs Perform or assist with routine maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment. Diagnose issues affecting facilities and recommend appropriate repair solutions. Work with the in-house maintenance personnel (electrician) in carrying out repair and maintenance work. Contractor Coordination Source and coordinate with external contractors or suppliers for repairs or maintenance beyond in-house capability. Evaluate quotations and recommend practical repair solutions for management approval. Monitor contractor work to ensure quality and completion of tasks. Inspection & Monitoring Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance issues. Monitor the condition of building systems such as electrical, plumbing, lighting, genset, and other related equipment. Ensure preventive maintenance activities are implemented when necessary. Reporting Maintain records of repairs, maintenance activities, and contractor work. Provide regular updates to the Property Manager on maintenance status, issues encountered, and actions taken. Professional Responsibility Review and sign technical plans, drawings, or documents related to building works and systems within the scope of his/her professional license when required. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Licensure is preferred; however, non-licensed candidates with relevant maintenance or facilities experience may also be considered. At least 3 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or building operations. Familiarity with troubleshooting building systems (electrical, plumbing, lighting, genset, etc.). Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend repair solutions. Able to coordinate with contractors and service providers. Organized and able to provide clear maintenance updates and reports. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Google Sheets. Familiarity with AutoCAD or SketchUp is an advantage.
