Design Project Leader

About The Role We are looking for an experienced and driven Design Program Manager to join a long-term consulting assignment within the automotive sector. In this role, you will be accountable for the project management of complete vehicle design content throughout the full product development lifecycle. You will lead the integration of overall vehicle program plans with design project plans, ensuring alignment across timing, cost, quality, and content. This is a high-impact position requiring close collaboration with international stakeholders and senior leadership in a dynamic, global automotive environment. Key Responsibilities Lead project management for complete vehicle design content during all product development phases Integrate overall vehicle program plans with design project plans and sub-plans Manage delivery timing, content, quality, and milestones within the design project team Maintain and follow up on resourcing, budget, and financial forecasts Delegate tasks and ensure structured follow-up within the project team Collaborate closely with Vehicle Program Management and Product Development teams (including international stakeholders) Communicate effectively with senior management and executive-level stakeholders Drive change management initiatives within the design organization Ensure alignment between design processes and interfacing automotive functions Required Qualifications And Experience 5–10 years of extensive project management experience within an automotive design environment. Strong understanding of automotive product design processes and tools. Deep knowledge of cross-functional processes interfacing with automotive design. Experience managing and analyzing financial data including forecasts, budgets, and actuals. Strong ability to interpret and apply program plans to meet targets in time, cost, and content. Proven change management capability within complex organizations. Experience working in international and cross-cultural environments.
