Senior O2C Specialist – Diabetes Medical Devices F&A (German-speaking) Introduction A global leader in insulin delivery and diabetes technology is recruiting a German-speaking Senior Order-to-Cash (O2C) Specialist for their financial operations hub in Porto, Portugal . This senior-level role is designed for an experienced finance professional who will take ownership of the end-to-end O2C cycle, ensuring process excellence, compliance, and high levels of service for the German-speaking market in a highly regulated medical device environment. Your Role End-to-End Management: Lead and perform O2C operations including order validation, billing, invoicing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution. Financial Oversight: Review AR aging reports, drive strategies to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and oversee complex reconciliation tasks. Escalation Point: Act as the primary senior contact for complex billing disputes and high-impact customer queries, utilizing strong negotiation skills. Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Audit/SOX controls, internal procedures, IFRS, tax regulations, and medical device standards. Process Improvement: Identify and drive initiatives for process automation, standardization, and operational efficiency. Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Treasury teams to align financial flows. Mentorship: Act as a lead reference for the team, mentoring and training junior O2C specialists. Reporting: Support month-end and quarter-end closing and produce advanced financial reports for senior management. Your Qualifications Languages: Native or near-native proficiency in German (C1+) and advanced English (C1) — both mandatory. Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Experience: 5–7 years of experience in O2C, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial controls, compliance frameworks, and multi-currency transactions; experience in healthcare or medical devices is a plus. Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Eligibility: Must hold an EU ID/Citizen Card or a valid Portuguese residence/work permit. The Offer Location: On-site position in Porto, Portugal . Schedule: Full-time, weekdays only (Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00).
