Backed by $20M from OpenAI Startup Fund, General Catalyst, and Google Ventures , the team is scaling rapidly ahead of a planned Series A. You will take ownership of backend services powering a modern AI-native product, working closely with Product, AI, and Operations teams in a fast-moving environment. What You'll Do Architect and evolve core backend services and APIs Design distributed systems supporting data pipelines and automation Build secure, high-performance production systems Establish operational best practices for rapid shipping Make clear architectural tradeoffs across product and platform needs Influence engineering standards and system design decisions Tech Environment Node.js, TypeScript, React AWS and Terraform Postgres OpenAI and Azure AI CI/CD and observability tooling GitHub, Linear, Slack, Notion What We're Looking For 5–10+ years building production backend systems Deep expertise in API design and data modeling Strong AWS or GCP infrastructure experience Practical CI/CD and deployment knowledge Solid observability and on-call practices Experience operating in fast-paced startup environments Nice to Have Early-stage or scaling startup background Exposure to AI/ML-powered products Experience working without heavy PM structure Python or Ruby familiarity DevOps or Terraform experience Finance or accounting domain exposure Why This Role Stands Out Backed by top-tier investors (OpenAI Startup Fund, GV, GC) Competitive salary plus meaningful equity High ownership in a scaling AI product company Daily in-office meals and premium hardware Strong product and engineering culture If you enjoy owning backend systems end-to-end and shipping fast in an AI-native environment, we'd love to meet you...
