About the Role We are looking for an experienced and proactive People Advisor to join our People Team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior People Business Partner, Talent Acquisition Specialist and the wider People team to streamline people processes and ensure we are delivering the best possible support for our teams. As a People Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in offering expert guidance to our managers on HR policies, employment law and best practices, all while contributing to the smooth operation of our HR functions. Your ability to provide insightful support and effective solutions will make a real impact on the way we develop and empower our people. As part of our global People function, you will also provide light‑touch HR guidance and coordination for colleagues and managers based in other regions, working closely with the Senior People Business Parter to ensure consistency, compliance and a seamless employee experience across countries. Role and Responsibilities: Employee Relations: Provide advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, contractual terms and employment law to facilitate the early resolution of employee relation issues Assist managers in handling employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, performance and absence management, escalating any complex issues as necessary to People Business Partners as appropriate Act as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing HR-related queries and concerns Promote a positive and inclusive work environment by supporting employee engagement initiatives Support managers in tracking and addressing absences, any trends, ensuring compliance with policies Process maternity, paternity, and other family leave requests, ensuring employees understand their entitlements Provide first‑line HR support to international managers and employees, signposting to local HR regulations. Support cross‑border employee relations cases by gathering information, ensuring documentation is consistent, and escalating to the Senior People Business Partner when local legal expertise is required. Help ensure global alignment of HR practices while respecting country‑specific cultural and legal differences. HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain and update employee records and within the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations Prepare HR documentation, including contract variations letters, contracts, offer letters, and policy updates Support People Business Partners with compliance, updating HR policies, keeping up to date with legal developments Support HR audits and reporting, producing key HR metrics and insights for leadership Track and report on probationary periods and ensure that relevant meetings and touchpoints are in place Update and maintain HR systems with employee details, role changes, and terminations Support the creation and maintenance of country‑specific HR processes, ensuring they integrate smoothly into global People operations. Employee Engagement & Wellbeing: Assist in the design and delivery of employee engagement programs, including recognition schemes, feedback initiatives, and culture-building activities Support wellbeing initiatives, such as mental health programs, diversity and inclusion efforts, and work-life balance policies Conduct employee surveys and work with the People team and leadership to implement improvement actions Learning & Development: Support People Business Partner in coordinating training and development programs, ensuring employees have access to relevant learning opportunities Work with People Business Partners and managers to identify skills gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions. Track training participation and maintain development records for employees Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding: Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist with our internal recruitment processes, ensuring a smooth recruitment experience for candidates Support Business Partners and Managers with the facilitation of onboarding and induction processes to ensure new employees integrate successfully into the organisation Coordinate new starter processes, including right-to-work checks, background screenings, and induction schedules Ensure IT, equipment, and system access are arranged for new employees. Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews, final payroll coordination, and deactivation of accounts Process employee reference requests and employment verification letters Coordinate onboarding activities for colleagues in other regions, ensuring global consistency while working with local teams to meet regional requirements. Support international offboarding processes by liaising with finance, payroll, and regional HR partners to ensure country‑specific obligations are met. HR Projects & Strategy: Contribute to HR projects, such as policy updates, system implementations, and workforce planning Assist in the development of new HR initiatives that align with business goals. Support organisational change and transformation efforts, ensuring effective people management during transitions and acquisitions Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Experience in an HR Advisor or similar role Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law A professional and pragmatic approach Strong interpersonal skills and is a good listener A team player, who is supportive and collaborative Ability to always deal with sensitive and confidential issues and acts with integrity and utmost confidentiality A problem-solving mindset, with a proactive and adaptable approach, who is confident in changing nature of priorities and can work with ambiguity in an ambitious and evolving company Strong attention to details Personally resilient. Able to deal with difficult or sensitive situations Committed to delivering an excellent HR service Committed to making the company a great place to work and promotes a diverse working culture Desirable: CIPD qualifications or equivalent Experience supporting HR activities across multiple countries or working within an international organisation.
