General Manager Commercial - Aviation Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Overview: We are seeking an experienced General Manager Commercial to lead and grow the airline's Regular Passenger Transport (RPT) and Charter functions. This is a senior executive role, overseeing strategy, commercial performance, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Direct and manage the Commercial Division, setting KPIs and delivering on financial targets. Drive commercial strategy for both RPT and Charter services, aligning with operational and safety standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, charterers, travel agents, and industry partners. Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify and maximise new opportunities. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (CASA and legislative standards). Lead change management and risk assessment processes across the division. Foster a positive safety culture and demonstrate strong leadership across teams. Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership and strategic management skills. Excellent relationship-building and negotiation capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience: Senior management experience in commercial functions, preferably within aviation. Extensive commercial leadership background; PNG market experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of the aviation industry and airline operations.
