What You'll Be Doing As a Senior Programmatic Advertising Manager, the successful candidate will take ownership of campaign strategy and execution for a portfolio of high-profile clients. Working hands-on across leading DSPs, the role involves shaping full-funnel strategies and driving programmatic excellence — both for clients and within the team. Key responsibilities include: Planning, executing, and continuously optimizing programmatic campaigns across multiple DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, HAWK, Amazon DSP, Yahoo DSP, Xandr, Google Ads, Taboola, Teads) Developing full-funnel programmatic strategies covering branding, prospecting, and retargeting Creating and managing digital media plans for programmatic and IO campaigns Collaborating closely with Account Managers, AdOps, publishers, data providers, and technology vendors — both nationally and internationally Generating actionable insights and best practices to fuel always-on optimization Championing innovation and the evolution of programmatic standards within the team Mentoring and onboarding junior and mid-level team members What the Ideal Candidate Brings Must-haves: 3–4 years of hands-on experience in programmatic campaign setup and optimization across multiple DSPs Strong command of full-funnel strategy and campaign technologies including Ad Serving, Tracking, Analytics, and Ad Verification Solid expertise working with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data and audience/targeting strategies Advanced analytical skills — ability to break down complex KPIs and funnel models and communicate them clearly to stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel A proactive, self-driven mindset — identifies issues, owns solutions, and keeps stakeholders informed Business-fluent English (negotiation level); German language requirements vary by role (see below) Nice to have: Familiarity with DAP Medialine Language Requirements by Role Role 1 — Primarily services an international client; German not required Role 2 — German at B2 minimum (C1 preferred); English business fluent A university degree is not required — relevant experience and demonstrable impact are what matter. Team Structure The successful candidate will join a direct team of 5–8 specialists, reporting to the Group Head with a dotted line to the Director. Day-to-day collaboration spans Programmatic Managers, Campaign Managers, Client Advisors, the Investment team, and AdOps.
