About the client: Our client is a leading engineering solutions provider specializing in the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of beverage processing systems and sanitary piping infrastructure. They serve clients across the F&B, dairy, and brewery industries, delivering turnkey engineering solutions with a focus on quality, innovation, and regulatory compliance. Job Summary: As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects involving beverage processing equipment and hygienic piping systems. You will work closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects that meet client specifications and industry standards. Job Responsibilities: Assist in the planning, design, and execution of process equipment and piping system projects. Develop and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, piping layouts, and equipment specifications. Coordinate with internal departments (design, procurement, fabrication, and site team) to ensure smooth project execution. Supervise and support equipment installation, piping fabrication, and commissioning activities at customer sites. Ensure all work complies with GMP, 3-A sanitary standards, and client requirements. Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including BOMs, datasheets, and progress reports. Track project progress, cost, and schedule; highlight any deviations to the Project Manager. Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure project alignment. Conduct site surveys, FATs, SATs, and assist in project handover. Ensure safety and quality standards are adhered to on-site. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the beverage, food, or dairy industry. Hands-on experience with sanitary process systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and piping systems. Strong understanding of P&ID development, piping design, and hygienic equipment layout. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent. Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel to project sites when required. Preferred Attributes: Familiarity with CIP systems, pasteurizers, and mixing/blending skids. Knowledge of relevant standards such as ASME BPE, 3-A, or EHEDG. Basic knowledge of PLC/automation systems is an advantage. Possession of a valid driving license and own transport is preferred.
