Senior AI Engineer

Our Client Our client is a fintech-software company , part of a leading European financial group, delivering advanced software solutions and data-driven services . They specialise in banking-tech platforms and data engineering , supporting the groups digital-transformation ambitions. The Lisbon hub sits in a modern innovation building in the city, reflecting a work environment designed for agility and excellence. Role Overview: Designing, developing, and delivering advanced solutions powered by Generative AI, with a strong emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) . Building and maintaining scalable and reliable AI systems , including data pipelines, APIs, and integrations with external tools and platforms. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to create meaningful, AI-driven solutions. Leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation and enhance existing systems. Continuously improving development processes to strengthen scalability, security, and overall performance. Staying current with emerging AI trends and technologies and sharing insights to encourage innovation and technical excellence within the team. Requirements: Strong software engineering expertise , particularly in Python , and proven experience designing and building scalable backend API solutions. A solid track record in developing and deploying AI and Generative AI solutions , with hands-on experience using industry-standard frameworks and libraries. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP . Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset. Clear communication skills , with the ability to translate complex technical ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences.
