Design Manager

Job Purpose To lead and manage the architectural design process for companies residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects in Hanoi, ensuring design excellence, innovation, compliance with regulations, and alignment with companies brand vision and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership & Strategy Develop and implement design strategies for projects in Hanoi, reflecting companies commitment to quality, sustainability, and community-centric living. Lead conceptual design, schematic design, and design development phases, ensuring creative yet practical solutions. Collaborate with senior management to align design direction with market trends, customer preferences, and business goals. Project Management Manage the end-to-end architectural design process for multiple projects simultaneously, from feasibility to construction documentation and site supervision. Coordinate with internal teams (Development, Engineering, Sales, Marketing) and external parties (consultants, contractors, authorities) to ensure design integrity and timely delivery. Review and approve design submissions, material selections, and mock-ups to ensure compliance with companies standards. Team & Stakeholder Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of architects and designers. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture. Act as the primary design contact for clients, partners, and government authorities (e.g., Hanoi Department of Planning & Architecture). Conduct design presentations to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Quality & Compliance Ensure all designs comply with Vietnamese building codes, zoning regulations, environmental standards, and companies sustainability framework (e.g., Green Building, LOTUS certification). Implement quality control procedures to maintain design consistency and excellence across all projects. Resolve design-related issues during construction and provide technical support to the project team. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from a recognized university. Licensed Architect registered with the Vietnam Association of Architects (VAA) or equivalent. Additional certification in Project Management, Green Building, or BIM is a plus. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role. Proven track record in managing large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects in Vietnam (Hanoi experience preferred). Strong design sensibility and proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite). Excellent project management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English and Vietnamese (both written and spoken). Knowledge of local construction practices, regulations, and approval processes in Hanoi. Why Join our Client?
