This organization provides nationwide technology and infrastructure support for large-scale retail and commercial environments. The team specializes in consistent execution, repeatable deployment processes, and efficient field operations across distributed site portfolios. Technicians are supported with clear scopes of work, structured travel logistics, and the tools needed to succeed independently in the field. Position Overview This role supports retail locations by performing straightforward network hardware swap-outs. Technicians travel to assigned sites, replace existing network switches with new equipment, verify functionality, and close out each location. The work is process-driven, repeatable, and completed independently with minimal supervision. Technicians report to Lowell, AR to pick up a company-provided vehicle before traveling to assigned locations. Work is performed in active retail environments, including Walmart Supercenters, Walmart Neighborhood Markets, Sams Club locations, and similar commercial sites. Key Responsibilities Travel to assigned retail locations using a company-provided vehicle Perform network switch swap-outs using new, pre-staged equipment Replace multiple switches per site, typically 10–12+, depending on store size Verify power, connections, and basic system functionality prior to site close-out Follow established checklists, scope of work, and documentation procedures Work independently and manage daily workload efficiently Complete an average of one location per day, with potential to complete more at smaller sites Required Qualifications Strong background in structured cabling, low voltage cabling, and data cabling systems Working knowledge of BICSI, NEC, and TIA/EIA standards Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and site maps Experience with CCTV, voice, and data cabling preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers and internal teams Ability to identify individual colors and learn cabling color codes Comfortable working in confined or tight spaces Must provide basic telecommunications tools and required PPE Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUI or DWI within the past 3 years) Ability to pass a background check Benefits and Compensation Hourly rate of $20–22 per hour Full-time position with consistent work Average 40–45 hours per week, with overtime opportunities available Company-provided vehicle Hotel accommodations provided during travel Daily per diem Why Work With Us This role offers steady work, clear expectations, and simple, repeatable tasks without complex troubleshooting or sales pressure.
