Senior Quality Engineer - Financial Services Contract Position | 6 Months W-2 contract Locations: Chicago, IL | St. Louis, MO | Minneapolis, MN | Kansas City, MO | Dallas, TX Remote: Not Eligible Overview Our client is a leading financial services organization that delivers critical payment services to financial institutions nationwide. They operate a comprehensive suite of services including funds transfer systems, settlement services, and cutting-edge instant payment solutions. We're seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their innovative team and drive end-to-end quality assurance for mission-critical financial systems. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and execute comprehensive software quality assurance strategies Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (UI and API) Develop and execute manual test cases when required Support CI/CD pipelines to enable scheduled and continuous test execution Validate end-to-end application workflows across teams Identify, document, track, and resolve software defects Ensure quality standards are embedded throughout the SDLC Define and communicate quality metrics related to performance, security, compliance, and reliability Partner with delivery teams to align QA strategy with product roadmaps and timelines Requirements 10+ years of relevant experience in software quality engineering 5+ years in a Senior Quality Engineer role Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Hands-on experience with Cypress and Selenium Experience with JMeter or similar performance testing tools JavaScript / TypeScript and Java AWS or similar cloud platform UI and API automation for web applications Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices Ability to work independently with limited supervision What We Offer Competitive hourly rate Opportunity to work with cutting-edge financial technology Exposure to mission-critical payment systems Collaborative, innovation-focused work environment Professional development opportunities Multiple location options across major metropolitan areas Eligibility Requirements U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or Permanent Residents (minimum 3 years residency) Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship Employment contingent upon successful completion of background screening (education, employment, criminal, credit, and reference checks) Ready to take your quality engineering career to the next level?
