RQ10384 - 2 x Business Analyst - Senior 2 openings - 2 submissions 1-year contract (247 business days) - 1 possible extenion of 6 months ONSITE 5 dasy a week - Yonge St, Toronto Security Level: CRJMC Responsibilities: · Ability to demonstrate leadership skills in guiding cross-functional teams through requirement gathering, stakeholder management, and facilitating workshops to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. · Perform system analysis, design, testing, and implementation of applications, ensuring alignment with strategy and standards. · Define and manage user stories, participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and ensure that business needs are reflected in technical solutions. · Conduct user research and develop personas to understand user needs, and create journey maps to improve service delivery and customer experience. · Analyze user requirements and coordinate with stakeholders to generate prototypes for user consultation. Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories. · Collaborate with technical teams to manage incidents, triage issues, and ensure prompt resolution while keeping stakeholders informed of progress. · Consult with clients on changes/modifications, recommend system enhancements, and assist in the development of training plans. · Prepare system documentation, user manuals, and other relevant materials to support system implementation and maintenance. · Assist in planning application development activities, providing direction and support to ensure that deliverables meet business and technical standards. General Skills: · Technical Knowledge & Expertise: o Strong background in systems analysis, requirements definition, prototyping, and feasibility studies. o Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, COTS tools, and web-based technologies. o Experience with systems integration and data-mining/reporting-based tools. · Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: o Ability to gather and analyze complex business problems, assess options, and recommend optimal solutions. o Experience in evaluating system designs and their impact on service delivery. · Leadership & Collaboration: o Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing direction to ensure that business needs are met within agile development frameworks. o Provide leadership in guiding stakeholders and junior team members in translating business requirements into actionable tasks. · Communication & Interpersonal Skills: o Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and explaining technical details to non-technical users. o Ability to prepare comprehensive documentation, business cases, and training materials. Must-Have: · Proven experience in working within agile frameworks, with the ability to write and refine user stories, conduct sprint reviews, and manage product backlogs. · Experience conducting user research, developing personas, and creating journey maps to improve system usability and user experience. · Strong understanding of system analysis and design, including experience working with web-based technologies, databases, and COTS applications like Cúram . · Experience in working closely with technical teams to handle incident management and issue triaging, ensuring timely resolution. · Experience in implementing, managing, and optimizing AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and decision‑making.
