Maintenance Manager

Job Title: Maintenance Manager (Heavy Equipment, Carriers & Fleet) Location: King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam, KSA Department: Engineering / Maintenance Reports To: Engineering Manager Direct Reports: Engineering Supervisor + Maintenance Technicians (Mechanical/Electrical) Job Summary Lead maintenance operations to ensure high equipment availability ( 90%) , safe execution, and cost control across heavy container-handling equipment, fleet, facilities, and yard civil works. Key Responsibilities Manage preventive & corrective maintenance for: Reach Stackers, RTGs, Straddle Carriers, Forklifts, Heavy/Light Trucks, Cars , and other operational equipment. Lead and supervise workshop + mobile team; assign jobs and ensure quality and on-time completion. Ensure strong capability in mechanical + electrical + hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs. Implement PM planning with PM compliance 95% and maintain maintenance history records. Control breakdown response and downtime reduction: MTTR 4 hours average (target). Manage spare parts planning to maintain critical spares availability 98% and reduce emergency purchases. Coordinate and supervise contractors/OEMs for major repairs and specialist work. Oversee facility & yard civil issues (lighting, doors, basic electrical, drainage/pavement repairs coordination). Enforce HSE standards (permits/LOTO, safe lifting, hot works): 0 major incidents . Requirements Diploma/Bachelor in Mechanical / Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering . 8+ years maintenance experience with heavy equipment and fleet; 3+ years in a leadership role. Proven experience with port/logistics equipment (reach stackers/RTGs/straddles/forklifts). Ability to read schematics, use diagnostics, and follow OEM manuals. Strong planning, reporting, and vendor management skills (ERP/CMMS preferred).
