Associate Attorney, Veterans Benefits

This role is on site for the first 6 months, with a hybrid schedule considered after that based on performance and business needs. Note: Must be a currently licensed attorney in good standing. Must have prior VA law experience to warrant an interview. Job Description Handle VA benefits matters from intake through strategy, evidence development, and appeals support Draft persuasive legal writing including briefs, arguments, and client facing communications Review service records, medical records, and supporting documentation to strengthen claims Communicate with clients clearly and compassionately and set expectations throughout the process Collaborate closely with attorneys, case managers, and support staff to move cases forward efficiently Track deadlines, maintain organized files, and document work accurately in case management systems Continue building VA specific knowledge with the goal of taking on increasing responsibility over time Qualifications JD from an accredited law school Active bar license in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction Prior VA law experience such as Veterans benefits claims, VBA, BVA appeals, CAVC exposure, VA accredited representative work, or similar Strong legal research and writing skills Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage a steady workflow with deadlines Able to obtain and maintain VA accreditation, including completion of the required background process Why You Will Love Working Here You will do work that matters with a team that supports each other and takes pride in serving those who served.
