IT Architect, Czech based

We are looking for an experienced IT Architect to join long-term enterprise IT initiatives for a major public-sector organization in the Czech Republic. The role focuses on enterprise architecture design, integration strategy, modern architectural patterns, and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams in a large-scale environment. Details: Contract type: B2B Workload: Full-time Duration: Long-term (12 months) Location: Prague, Czech Republic (occasional office visits) Language: English, Czech or Slovak (B2 level) Responsibilities: Design and define enterprise and solution architecture for complex IT systems Define architectural standards and guidelines for microservices and distributed systems Design integration patterns (synchronous and asynchronous communication) Work with messaging systems such as Kafka, Service Bus, or similar Contribute to logical data model design and system data architecture Collaborate with development teams on architecture implementation Create and maintain architecture documentation using ArchiMate and Enterprise Architect Support containerization and orchestration strategies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) Ensure architectural alignment with business and technical requirements Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience as an IT Architect within the last 5 years Strong knowledge of modern architectural approaches (microservices, event-driven architecture, DDD, CQRS) Proven experience with system integrations and messaging platforms Experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes or similar) Experience designing logical data models Knowledge of ArchiMate modeling language Experience working with Enterprise Architect tool TOGAF certification (minimum Level 1) Strong analytical thinking and structured approach Ability to communicate effectively in Czech or Slovak at B2 level or higher
