Shunter

We are currently hiring for an experienced shunter for our client in Vaughan, ON. Location: Vaughan, ON Shift- Overnight Time- 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM Job Responsibilities: Move and position trailers, containers, and trucks within the yard as directed. Perform regular yard checks to monitor trailer locations. Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and yard staff to ensure efficient flow of equipment. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of shunt trucks/trailers. Complete basic paperwork and maintain accurate records. Follow all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents or delays. Job Requirements: Valid drivers license. Clean Abstract and CVOR and a criminal background check are required. Prior experience of 2-3 years as a shunter is a requirement. Good backing skills are an asset. Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and yard operations. Pay rate- $26 per/hour
