Our client is a pioneering Information and Communication Technologies company and one of the largest Cisco partners in Cyprus. They are currently seeking a Network Engineer to be based in Larnaca. The Network Engineer is responsible exclusively for the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, and support of network infrastructures, both in-house and for company customers. The role focuses on networking, network security, connectivity, routing and switching, and IP-based services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of all network environments. Responsibilities: Provide local and remote network support through the companys ticketing system in accordance with defined SLAs. Manage, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi) Install, configure, and support network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Configure and manage VLANs, routing, NAT, VPNs, and QoS policies. Monitor network performance using monitoring tools and analyze logs to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. Respond to network security incidents and implement network security hardening measures. Participate in network upgrade projects, including firmware updates and infrastructure replacements. Provide support and basic administration of IP telephony and VoIP systems where required. Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure stable and secure infrastructure operations. Qualifications / Experience Required: University/college degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant subject At least 1 year working experience in a similar position Previous experience working with Microsoft on-premises and cloud technologies such as Hyper-V, Windows Server 2012 or newer (Active Directory, GPOs, DHCP, WSUS), Office 365, etc. Previous experience working with VMWare virtualization technologies including ESXi, vCenter and ideally, VDI as well as Veeam availability and monitoring solutions Excellent knowledge/prior experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and VLANs. Networking comprehension should be at least of CCNA level. Experience/knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications solutions and VoIP in general will be considered an advantage Previous experience with SAN storage technologies and/or security products/solutions will be considered an advantage Active certifications in any of the required technology areas will be considered as an advantage Personal characteristics required: Good interpersonal and communicational skills in English, both verbal and writing Efficient worker, able to deliver under pressure in a multitasking and fast-paced environment without compromise on timelines, quality of work and service levels Dependability and commitment Team spirit Self-initiative, self-motivation, self-discipline with excellent time and task management skills Strong analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving capabilities. Adaptability and ability to learn quickly Info/Benefits: Salary range, depending on experience and qualifications: 34K to 36K Gross/Year.
