Senior Data Analyst

Job Title: Senior Data Analyst Job Type: Contract – Remote Location: South Africa Key Responsibilities: Lead the collection, cleaning, and analysis of data from various sources to support strategic business decisions. Develop and oversee databases, data systems, and data collection processes. Interpret data, analyse results using advanced statistical techniques, and provide comprehensive reports. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Collaborate with senior management to prioritize business and information needs. Define new process improvement opportunities and lead their implementation. Mentor and guide junior data analysts and other team members. Work closely with IT and business teams to implement data-driven solutions. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics. Extensive experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights. Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, R, (Python – AI/ML libraries), Git and Github, Google Colab, AutoML platforms) Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Jupyter notebook) is highly desirable. Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
