Azure Platform Engineer (Mid-Level)

Location: EU Focus: Azure Foundations & Enterprise Integration (Power Apps SuccessFactors) Level: Mid-Level Contract Duration: 6 months Contract details: B2B/ PFA or SRL Type: Professional Services / Engineering Role Overview We are looking for a Mid-Level Azure Platform Engineer to build and operate the foundational infrastructure for a high-impact integration project. Your primary mission is to enable secure, scalable, and observable connections between Power Apps and SAP SuccessFactors . You will be the backbone of the integration landscape, managing Azure API Management (APIM) , Logic Apps , and the underlying landing zone patterns that ensure seamless data flow across enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Platform Foundation: Support the buildout of Azure landing zones, focusing on resource organization, RBAC, and governance policies for integration workloads. API Lifecycle Management: Configure and maintain Azure APIM environments (Dev/Test/Prod), including policy authoring, certificate management, and product subscriptions. Automated Delivery: Build and maintain robust Azure DevOps pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the deployment of both infrastructure and integration components. Observability & Monitoring: Implement end-to-end monitoring using Application Insights and Log Analytics to create dashboards and alerting systems for integration health. Security & Connectivity: Collaborate with integration engineers to manage secrets, secure connectivity (networking/WAF), and ensure identity standards are met. Operations: Drive operational readiness through incident triage, performance tuning, and the creation of technical runbooks. Required Skills & Experience Technical Core Azure Platform Engineering: Solid experience in resource governance, identity/RBAC, and cloud networking basics. API Management: Hands-on experience with Azure APIM (configuring policies, versioning, and developer portals). DevOps & CI/CD: Proven ability to build release pipelines and manage branching strategies in Azure DevOps . Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates . Monitoring: Practical knowledge of Azure observability tools (Log Analytics, KQL, Dashboards). Soft Skills Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues across hybrid environments. Communication: Clear technical documentation skills and the ability to work closely with application developers and stakeholders. Nice to Have Integration Expertise: Understanding of sync/async patterns and experience with Azure Logic Apps . Security Deep-Dive: Knowledge of OAuth2, mTLS, JWT validation , and Web Application Firewall (WAF) concepts. Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors APIs (OData) or general enterprise SaaS integration patterns. Key Deliverables APIM Ecosystem: Fully automated APIM setup with standardized policies and deployment pipelines. CI/CD Framework: Reusable pipelines for infrastructure and integration components.
