Die Repair Technician – 3rd Shift | Automotive Manufacturing Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Compensation info: Max salary $66k plus sign-on bonus of $5000 Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Die Repair Technician to repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies in an automotive manufacturing environment. This 3rd shift role ensures production tooling operates efficiently and meets exact specifications. Responsibilities: Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble casting and trim dies using cranes, lift trucks, and die cleaning equipment. Build, replace, and fabricate die segments, cores, and parts from blueprints. Grind, polish, and draw die cavity surfaces to specification. Perform welding and modifications related to die maintenance. Troubleshoot production tooling issues and maintain accurate work records. Train new employees and maintain a safe, organized work area. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of hands-on die repair experience in automotive or manufacturing. Proficient in die repair, welding, blueprint reading, grinding, and polishing . Technical education (Associate's Degree, trade school, or journeyman certificate) preferred. Tool & Die Repair Journeyman certificate is a plus, but not required.
