Mechanical Design Engineer

Areas of Responsibility Develop mechanical components, in cross functional teams that fulfil design prerequisites and engineering standards within Time and Cost frames. Engineering at system- and/or component level. Packing components towards surrounding environment, design in context, and for defining requirements on surrounding systems / components that are necessary to make the design work as intended. Verify the solution and recommend changes of the design regarding technology, cost, production, quality, service, environment, market adaptation and rationalization. Coordinate meetings with suppliers and other affected departments to ensure and solve cross functional needs. Contribute to the build-up of experience, by participating and developing technology strategies within the area of competence. Contribute in developing the need of analysis and verification (AVN) within the task. Take part in Geometry-assurance and fulfilment of requirements. Secure delivery of Test- and CAE-Reports. Support product builds and updates. Work Content Deliver 3D/2D models for manufacturing of production and prototype parts. Deliver 3D models for virtual verification and development of prototype tools/material for physical verification, including production approval. Responsible that technical documents, e.g. Technical Regulations (TR), ESOW, design guidelines, ECAC-documents, etc., are developed, updated and available at the right level and right time and furthermore correctly stored in systems such as Teamcenter. Responsible that the Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) is performed on system- and component level. Assure that decided risk areas are taken care of. Assure that all activities which are necessary for the engineering work are included in the time plan of the task. Carry out Design Reviews. Performs standard design work. Develops/modifies components and smaller systems with proven technique. Creates drawings and releases change orders. Implements conclusions from analysis and verification. Performs FMEA with support from Quality Engineer. Competence Requirements Language Swedish - Intermediate English - Fluent Education BSc within Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent based on work experience. Experience 2+ Years Personal Traits: Leadership, Collaboration & Planning Eager to learn and actively looks for solutions instead of waiting for instructions. Keeps track of many different tasks and often has to act as the engine of the team to push tasks forward. A social personality that likes to discuss issues. Well spoken presenter that is capable of presenting topics in a short, yet detailed manner. Capable of leading a small assignment within a small cross functional team, from planning to implementation through all phases. Plans the amount of time/resources needed to perform the assignment and reports deviations. Performs quality assurance of designs through cross functional work. Applies technical and logical plans. -Gets support from others for decisions outside the cross functional team. Contacts procurement and known suppliers with regard to technical issues.
