Healthcare Billing Supervisor

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Billing Supervisor to lead our revenue cycle operations. This role oversees patient and third-party billing, accounts receivable, collections, and staff management, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and New York State billing regulations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Epic applications , ICD-9/ICD-10 , and CPT coding , along with proven supervisory skills in a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily billing operations, including patient and third-party accounts receivable. Train, mentor, and schedule billing staff to ensure productivity and compliance. Review and monitor operational data, workflow efficiency, and billing accuracy. Handle account follow-ups, adjustments, and payer communications. Serve as liaison between management, staff, and external organizations. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, New York State regulations, and internal policies. Resolve patient billing inquiries and complaints professionally. Prepare staff performance evaluations and recommend personnel actions. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred. Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in healthcare billing or revenue cycle management. Proficiency in Epic applications and medical billing software. Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 , CPT coding , and third-party billing regulations. Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards. Certified Professional Coder ( CPC ) or Certified Coding Specialist ( CCS/CCSP ) required. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform routine office activities; occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
