Heavy Civil Estimator

Job Description Position Summary: We are seeking a heavy civil estimator in the western Pennsylvania region to support our Heavy/Industrial Operations. In this role, you will assist in the development of competitive proposals based on accurate cost estimates including general conditions, self-performed work, and subcontracted work. The successful candidate will be able to quantify scopes of work, assisting in the development of General Conditions, and communicate effectively to gain a working understanding of RFPs, drawings, specifications, and RFIs. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management OR technical college degree with combined minimum of five years field and estimating experience Comfortable to work in both an office and on-site construction project environment Ability to travel and/or temporarily relocate based on project needs Proven experience as a Heavy Civil Estimator with a strong focus on earthwork take-offs and self-perform estimating Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and related documents Experience with construction software preferred, especially Carlson, HCSS, and Bluebeam Aptitude to work as a team player with strong planning and organizational skills Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors
