About the job UNIX SOLARIS Administrator Jadeer is hiring on behalf of one of our clients in Egypt We are seeking a highly skilled UNIX SOLARIS Administrator at the Lead, Specialist, or Analyst level to join our Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure department. In this role, you will manage and maintain UNIX SOLARIS operating system-based servers, ensuring maximum performance and uptime. The Role at a Glance Department: Infrastructure / UNIX Admin. Reporting to: Head of Infrastructure. Core Objective: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Solaris infrastructure while ensuring alignment with business goals. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Operations Infrastructure Management: Lead the operations and design of Unix Solaris infrastructure. Hardware Expertise: Hands-on experience with Oracle SPARC Hardware T & M series . Virtualization & Migration: Perform migrations of LDOMs and storage alongside system performance tuning. System Maintenance & Security Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain Unix-based and SOLARIS systems. Security: Implement security protocols, firewalls, and access controls to protect system integrity. Lifecycle Management: Perform firmware patching, upgrades, and system updates to ensure security. User Management: Create and manage user accounts and permissions. Optimization & Innovation Performance: Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues, including system crashes and application failures. Documentation: Develop and maintain system configurations and troubleshooting guides. Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement. Working Conditions Location: Based in Egypt at V90 Mall – New Cairo . Hybrid Model: 3 days from the office and 2 days from home. Schedule: Sunday to Thursday (Friday & Saturday off) as per the Egypt calendar. Hours: 8 fixed working hours. Compensation: Salary will be paid in USD . Who You Are Education & Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited university. Experience: 8+ years of experience as a Unix SOLARIS Administrator or in a similar role. Technical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in managing complex Unix environments for lead-level positions. Bonus Skills: Additional experience in Linux or AIX is a significant benefit. Or refer someone
