This is a vital role for someone who enjoys a varied workday, ranging from hands-on repairs to ensuring the high-level security and safety of the school site. The Role As the lead on-site presence for maintenance, you will be responsible for: General Maintenance: Executing essential repairs including basic plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and painting. Health & Safety Compliance: Conducting and recording statutory checks, including Fire Alarm testing, Water Hygiene (Legionella), and Emergency Lighting. Site Security: Managing the morning unlock or evening lock-up, ensuring the perimeter is secure and all systems are operational. Contractor Management: Overseeing external tradespeople and ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard. The Candidate Trade Experience: A background in a trade (plumbing, electrical, or carpentry) is highly advantageous. DBS Cleared: You must hold an Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to undergo one immediately).
