Operations Manager (Marine)

Oversee and direct the day-to-day operations of mechanical and hydraulic production for marine applications. Oversee the mechanical and hydraulic systems' construction, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning. Verify adherence to safety rules, class requirements, and marine industry standards. Serve as the technical expert for mechanical and hydraulic processes, resolving challenging operational problems. From the beginning to the end, plan, carry out, and implement fabrication and manufacturing projects. Create project budgets, timetables, labor plans, and material requirements. To guarantee smooth execution, collaborate with the engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and site teams. Keep an eye on the project's development, control hazards, and take necessary remedial action. Make sure all paperwork, reporting, and handover are done correctly after the project is over. Oversee specialized workers such as welders, mechanical fitters, hydraulic technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors. Effectively distribute qualified personnel among several projects and work areas. Assess the performance, competency, and training requirements of the workforce. Keep up a solid track record of managing technical, highly skilled teams in challenging settings. Make ensuring that all operations follow marine safety regulations and HSE procedures. Collaborate closely with QA/QC teams to guarantee that production and fabrication fulfill customer expectations and standards. Oversee safety audits, briefings, and initiatives for corrective action. Communicate with project stakeholders, shipyards, clients, and classification societies. Give clients and top management operational and technical updates. Provide technical assistance to commercial teams for project planning and proposals. Qualifications: Mechanical engineering, marine engineering, or a similar technological field degree or certification. At least eight to twelve years of expertise in mechanical and hydraulic production in the offshore or maritime sector. Strong practical understanding of marine equipment, mechanical construction, and hydraulic systems. Track record of successfully managing production and fabrication projects. Experience working in maritime fabrication settings, shipyards, or offshore facilities. Strong knowledge of safety rules, codes, and marine standards.
