Job Summary: As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of our warehouse. You will work closely with our warehouse manager and team to ensure the efficient and timely processing of orders, receiving and storing of products, and maintaining inventory records. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Receive and process incoming orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery - Inspect and verify incoming products for quality and quantity - Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment - Maintain inventory records and assist with inventory management - Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and containers - Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times - Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner - Communicate with warehouse manager and team members to ensure smooth operations - Assist with other warehouse duties as needed Qualifications and Skills: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred - Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) - Familiarity with warehouse equipment and machinery - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - Proficient in basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office - Valid driver's license and forklift certification a plus Contract Details: This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cape Town, South Africa. The working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.
