Private Tennis Coach (Houston, TX) | $40–$60/hr About the role Golden Racket Academy is hiring a Private Tennis Coach in Houston, Texas to deliver 1-on-1 and small-group tennis lessons at local courts and client-preferred locations across the Houston area. We serve premium clients who care about coaching quality, clear communication, and a reliable experience. You bring the coaching and on-court leadership. We handle the operations, admin, and client flow. What you'll do Coach private and small-group tennis lessons (beginner through advanced) Improve player performance in: serve, return, forehand/backhand mechanics, footwork, rally tolerance, and match patterns Build simple lesson plans tailored to each clients goals Communicate clearly with clients about lesson logistics (location, time, expectations) Show up on time, prepared, and ready to run a high-quality session What were looking for (must have) 2+ years of paid tennis coaching experience Strong fundamentals and the ability to teach technique simply Professional, punctual, and comfortable working independently Reliable transportation to travel locally around Houston Comfortable coaching adults, seniors, and juniors Able to pass a background check (required for client trust) Nice to have (not required) CPR certification or coaching credentials (upload if you have them) USTA/league coaching, junior development experience Ability to bring extra racquets and balls for beginner clients Pay and structure $40–$60/hr , based on experience and coaching level This is a contractor coaching role (1099) Flexible scheduling based on client demand and your capacity How to apply Submit your application with: A short coaching summary Your years of coaching experience Optional: upload relevant certifications (CPR, coaching certs, liability insurance) If it looks like a fit, well reach out quickly to schedule a short intro call.
