Research Nurse (Maternal & Foetal Medicine Research Group)

The Maternal–Foetal Medicine Unit at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) conducts high‑impact clinical and translational research focused on the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of high‑risk pregnancies. We are seeking a highly motivated Research Nurse with specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, interested in advancing scientific knowledge in multiple pregnancy and placental insufficiency and contributing to innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies . Education and qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Sciences Specialisation in Obstetric-Gynaecological Nursing (Midwifery) Fluency in Catalan and Spanish English (professional working proficiency) Desired: Knowledge of gender-sensitive and rights-based approaches in women’s health Training in biopsychosocial approaches to healthcare Experience and knowledge: Required: At least 8+ years’ experience in maternal and women’s healthcare Solid clinical expertise across labour ward, obstetric emergencies, high-risk pregnancy care, and postpartum support Knowledge of respectful maternity care and women-centred healthcare models Knowledge of gender-sensitive and rights-based approaches in maternal care Experience working within multidisciplinary clinical teams Ability to integrate clinical expertise with research and quality improvement activities Competence in clinical documentation, data collection, and structured reporting Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills Desired: Experience in clinical research, innovation, or healthcare quality programmes Experience contributing to institutional initiatives (IHAN, BPSO, committees) Experience in training or mentoring activities Main responsibilities and duties: Provide specialised clinical and research support within the IPOV-RESPECTFUL CARE European project Coordinate and support research-related clinical activities Collaborate with national and international multidisciplinary teams Prepare and organise study documentation, databases, and research materials Contribute to data collection, analysis, and structured reporting Monitor project activities, timelines, and deliverables Support development of training, dissemination, and knowledge-transfer outputs Facilitate best-practice exchange within international collaborative settings Labour conditions: Part-time position: 5,5h/week. Starting date: As soon as possible Gross annual salary: 4.055,00 euros (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale) Contract : Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities What can we offer?
