Sanitation Worker

Job Summary We are hiring a Sanitation Worker to help keep our pecan shelling and packaging areas clean, safe, and ready for production. This is an entry-level —no experience required. Youll do a lot of cleaning and basic wash-down tasks while following food safety rules and safety procedures. Training is provided. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Clean and sanitize production areas, floors, drains, tables, and equipment (as trained) Sweep, mop, scrub, and remove trash/recycling throughout the facility Help with wash-downs using hoses, foaming/sanitizing tools, and basic cleaning equipment Refill soap, sanitizer, and paper supplies; keep handwash and sanitation stations stocked Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation rules to prevent contamination Wear required PPE (gloves, apron, boots, hair/beard nets, safety glasses, etc.) Report spills, leaks, broken items, pests, or safety hazards to a supervisor right away Work as part of a team to keep the plant clean and production-ready Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications (No Experience Needed) No prior experience required —we will train you Reliable, punctual, and able to follow simple instructions Comfortable doing repetitive cleaning tasks and working at a steady pace Able to follow safety rules, including careful handling of cleaning chemicals (training provided) Spanish-speaking applicants welcome; English preferred for safety and communication Available to work 5–6 days/week , including weekends if needed, and day or night shift Physical Requirements Able to stand and walk for long periods Able to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent bending, reaching, pushing/pulling carts or trash bins Able to work around water, wet floors, and strong smells from cleaners/sanitizers Work Environment Fast-paced food production environment (pecan shelling/packing) May work in warm, cold, wet, or dusty areas depending on where youre assigned PPE required at all times in production areas Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay Overtime opportunities Paid training and advancement opportunities Company-provided PPE
