Odoo Developer - OpenSPP Focus (Onsite, Karachi, PKR Salary)

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Odoo development within enterprise environments. Strong expertise in Odoo framework components, including ORM, inheritance, QWeb, workflows, and module customization. Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, and Odoo frontend technologies (OWL). Solid understanding of Odoo architecture, module lifecycle, and performance optimization techniques. Familiarity with OpenSPP data models or similar social registry systems is highly preferred. Experience working with SDLC methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum environments. Ability to translate business needs into clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and detailed technical specifications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Prior experience in NGO, FinTech, or social impact sector projects will be considered an advantage. Responsibilities: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, program managers, and functional teams to understand operational workflows and system needs. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements in structured BRDs. Provide technical feasibility assessments and effort estimations. Contribute to the preparation of Technical Design Documents (TDDs). Design and define database models aligned with OpenSPP/Odoo architecture. Architect scalable, maintainable custom modules and enhancements. Customize and extend OpenSPP modules (e.g., Registry, Program Management, Payments). Develop new Odoo modules using Python, PostgreSQL, XML, and JavaScript. Implement integrations with third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external systems as required. Ensure code quality, security, and performance optimization. Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure system reliability. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve identified issues. Assist in deployment processes and provide post-go-live support and maintenance. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and user manuals. Ensure proper version control and documentation of enhancements and fixes.
