Network Specialist

Mediaflow is looking for a skilled Network Specialist to take ownership of our infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with physical servers, building scalable networks, and supporting containerized environments. You’ll play a key part in strengthening the foundation that powers our platform and services. ABOUT US Mediaflow provides a digital media management platform used by organizations across the Nordics. Our tools help customers store, organize and publish media efficiently and securely. We value a pragmatic approach to development and maintain a collaborative, transparent culture. The team works primarily remotely, with in-person meetups at our office roughly once a month. THE ROLE As Network Specialist at Mediaflow, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining our core infrastructure. Your main focus will be on building secure, scalable network environments, managing virtual machines, and working with physical hardware. You’ll also support our Kubernetes-based systems and contribute to improving overall reliability and performance. The role includes occasional visits to datacenters, such as our facility in Falkenberg, for hardware installations and maintenance. Some tasks may take place outside regular hours, but these are planned in advance and distributed across the team. THE TEAM You’ll be part of the Operations Team, a small and technically skilled group of three core members. The team works closely with one of the company’s founders, who remains actively involved in infrastructure work and technical decisions. While this is a new role, you’ll take full ownership of the networking domain and collaborate across the team to improve systems, solve problems, and ensure a stable, scalable environment QUALIFICATIONS Must-have Deep knowledge of networking, including routing, firewalls and scalable network architecture Experience working with physical servers and hardware Comfortable working in Kubernetes-based environments Familiarity with virtual machines and infrastructure operations Ability to take initiative and work independently within a team Willingness to occasionally travel to datacenters (e.g. Falkenberg) Flexibility to handle occasional work outside standard hours Nice-to-have We’d love to see experience with infrastructure that isn’t built on standard enterprise solutions, and an interest in low-level systems or hardware is a clear plus. A background in DevOps or broader infrastructure work is valuable, as is familiarity with virtualization tools and practices. You might have a degree in networking or have gained equivalent hands-on experience through other paths. BENEFITS This is a hybrid role with the option to work both from our office and remotely. You’ll be part of a technically skilled and collaborative team with a high degree of autonomy. We use modern tools and infrastructure, and you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence technical decisions and long-term architecture. The team meets in person roughly once a month, and all work-related travel is covered. CONTACT This recruitment is handled by our partner Detechtiv.
