Our client, a well-regarded independent 11–18 day school in Walsall, is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCo to join their senior team ASAP . This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to shape and lead inclusive provision within a supportive and forward-thinking school community. • SENCo required – full-time, permanent • Independent day school in Walsall • Member of the extended leadership team • ASAP start • Competitive independent sector salary About the Role The successful SENCo will lead and manage the school’s SEND provision, ensuring that students with additional needs are supported effectively and consistently across all key stages. Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing the identification and assessment of students with SEND • Developing and implementing personalised support plans • Liaising with parents, staff and external agencies • Supporting teachers with differentiation strategies • Monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with statutory guidance • Contributing to whole-school inclusion strategy You will play a key role in promoting a culture of high expectations, ensuring that all pupils are able to thrive academically and personally. The Ideal Candidate • QTS and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards) • Proven experience in SEND leadership • Strong knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practice • Excellent communication and organisational skills • Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively About the School This independent school in Walsall is known for its strong pastoral ethos and commitment to personalised education.
