Humanities Teacher (History/Geography) | Havering Secondary School

We are working with a prestigious independent school in Havering to appoint a Humanities Teacher for a permanent, full-time position. Starting this March, the school is looking for a specialist who can deliver high-quality History or Geography lessons. The Humanities department is a collaborative space where cross-curricular projects are encouraged. ECTs at this school benefit from a "buddy" system and a structured induction path that provides all the tools necessary for a successful first year in teaching. The Role The successful candidate will teach either History or Geography (or a combination) across KS3 and KS4. The curriculum is designed to challenge students' perspectives and develop their analytical skills. The school is looking for an ECT who can lead inquiry-based lessons and foster a love for the humanities through debating and field trips. Requirements QTS and a strong degree in History, Geography, or a related Humanities subject. The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship; candidates must have the right to work in the UK. A professional, proactive attitude toward professional development and student engagement. Salary M1 – UPS3 (£37,870 – £56,154) per annum.
