Engineer - Level 3 Senior (11-15 Years) Overview Our client is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support solar farm design and construction projects. This role involves managing 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for utility-scale solar projects. The position requires continuous coordination with diverse project stakeholders including environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning. Key Responsibilities Perform engineering assignments ranging from limited scope projects to advanced engineering projects requiring expertise in multiple disciplines Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects with advanced knowledge application, balancing cost, reliability, and performance Manage and coordinate 3rd party contractor teams for solar project engineering designs Supervise teams of engineers and oversee design development, permitting, and compliance for energy infrastructure Apply value engineering principles to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems Conduct detailed technical assessments, engineering design reviews, and compliance verifications for power delivery projects Ensure regulatory compliance and lead technical teams with focus on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations Bridge the gap between conceptual engineering and field execution, ensuring best practices are applied throughout the project lifecycle Assist with project management, negotiations, performance tracking and reporting Coordinate project stakeholders and mobilize engineering teams to achieve business objectives Specialized Engineering Functions Candidates may work in one or more of the following specialized areas: Electrical/I&C Engineering: Electric distribution systems, power systems, ladder logic, safe shutdown analysis, computational tools (ETAP, EDISON) Mechanical Engineering: Pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pipe stress analysis, ASME standards Civil/Structural Engineering: Design and management of civil infrastructure components including foundations, site grading, drainage systems, seismic qualification, pipe supports, welding, rigging MOV Valve Engineering: Diagnostics, troubleshooting, valve program management Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering (electrical, civil, mechanical, aerospace, or chemical) 11-15 years of experience leading engineering teams and providing oversight for major energy infrastructure projects Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Strong project coordination and team leadership abilities Experience with stakeholder management and project mobilization Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineering (PE) certification Engineering and project management experience on utility-scale solar projects Experience with other power industry technologies (wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, transmission) Experience managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Work Arrangement This position offers remote work flexibility, with preference for candidates located in or near Florida. Periodic travel to the Juno Beach office is required, with more frequent visits expected during the first 3-6 months as the candidate settles into the role. Schedule: Standard business hours (8 AM - 5 PM)
