We are looking for a Senior Propulsion Engineer with experience in electric propulsion development to join our team in Stockholm. You will be part of an environment where technology, creativity, and collaboration come together. 💡 About the Role Role Overview The Senior Propulsion Engineer will serve as a high-level technical contributor within the propulsion function, positioned just below Project Manager level. The role is expected to evolve toward technical leadership (e.g., Technical Lead, Subsystem Architect, Technical Responsible). However, new hires will not be placed into formal leadership roles from day one. Typical Responsibilities Depending on team placement and individual preference, responsibilities may include: In-orbit propulsion system engineering Electric propulsion development (key priority) Hall Effect Thruster (HET) development Analysis, testing, and verification Procurement and supplier interaction Technical support for sales and proposals Mentoring junior engineers Celsus Engineering fosters a strong culture of aligning engineers’ tasks with their strengths (e.g., hands-on testing versus analytical focus). ✅ Essential Requirements Must-have qualifications: Senior-level experience in in-orbit propulsion Strong background in electric propulsion Previous employment within established European or US space organizations Relevant background examples include experience at: Airbus Thales Northrop Grumman Safran Or equivalent organizations 🌟 Desirable Attributes Broad propulsion lifecycle experience (development through testing) Ability to operate at subsystem/system engineering level Comfortable working in a growing and evolving organization Collaborative mindset with mentoring capability Direct experience with Hall Effect Thrusters (HET) 📍 Location & Working Model Primary location: Kista, Sweden On-site expectation: Ideally 5 days per week Up to 1 remote day per week acceptable Additional flexibility possible if well justified Working hours: 40 hours per week ✨ This is a fantastic opportunity to work with next-generation space systems in an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and growth. 🌍 Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Hybrid) 📩 Apply today and join Ultra Group AB! 💡 About Us Ultra Group AB is a collective of consulting companies collaborating with clients across Aerospace, Defence, Marine, Automotive, Industrial, IT, Cybersecurity, Functional Safety, and AR/VR sectors.
